Garbage Truck Mondays!

Mondays are pretty much the biggest day of the week around here. My favorite truck comes to see me. The garbage truck. He drives around our neighborhood picking up garbage cans and dumping them into his truck. It makes a loud boom noise and it's so exciting. The driver knows me too. He honks his horn and waves to me. We are buddies.

It's time to smell the roses!

Well, we don't have many roses in our yard but there sure are some pretty flowers blooming. Daddy taught me how to smell. I still look like I'm going to eat them sometimes but I'm not that silly, I know not to eat flowers! 

Lavender smells pretty nice too!

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July everyone! We aren't doing much tonight since we have a new baby and all but get out there and light some fire works off. Get crazy! 

Parker's first bath

Parker had her first bath in MY bathtub. She liked it, didn't cry a bit but I did.

1st day of summer. Bring it!

Summer is awesome! I get to go outside more, play in the water, water my garden, wear my gardening hat, life is good. Bonus is-I have a baby sister to play with all summer!

My Auntie Karis and cousin Koen came over to visit too and we went outside. Sister stayed on her blanket underneath the tree. She can't walk or talk yet but I think maybe in a couple weeks she'll start. Be more fun then.

I like this one. Koen thinks I'm pretty funny. Have I told you I'm the oldest between us 3? 

Gotta get the lawn done while it's nice out. I've learned from daddy that we can't mow when it's too wet. And while Daddy is still teaching at school I have to step up and help out. 

The morning after, we were pooped! But we woke up together, and watched Sesame Street. My favorite is a tie between cookie monster and Elmo. I'm guessing her's is Big Bird?

Checking her out. She has 2 arms, 2 hands, lots of fingers. But you know what? I think my feet and my hands are much bigger. 

Now this is a little fishy. I went to the park this morning with Grandpa and Grandma Betty and came home to my sister sleeping with MY Ernie and Pooh bear. Hmmmm.....

My sister is 1 week old!

I love having a sister. She is here when I wake up, she is here when I wake up from my nap and she is here when I go to bed. She is always here and I'm thinking she isn't going away any time soon. I love watching her and helping mom and dad take care of her. She doesn't cry much which is nice. She basically just sleeps and eats. Oh and she poops a lot too. I help dad change her diapers. 

Mommy usually helps with diapers but it seems like daddy and I are doing most of the work around here these days since mommy came home from the hospital. She walks really slow, lays down a lot and wears these funny things on her arms. I heard mommy say she has something like carpel tunnel? Not sure what that is but she can't use her hands very well. It makes my day very full taking care of my sister and helping daddy out. When I go to sleep I'm exhausted!

But I wouldn't change a thing. She is so much fun and she even kind of looks like me!

She even let's me kiss her. She smells nice too

Parker Louise Brooking has arrived! She arrived Monday morning, June 11th, 10:36am, via C-section at Everett Providence Hospital.
