I'm having a sister!

Well, as you can see-my mommy's belly is getting bigger than normal. She has reassured me that nothing is wrong, she didn't eat a watermelon, she just has a baby inside. Not sure what that means either but her and daddy told me yesterday that I'm having a sister, a mini mommy I guess?
She got so excited she made daddy go into the garage to get her old girl toys out. She still has all her barbies, my little pony, strawberry shortcakes and much more that I don't really care about. I looked through all her things and found this guy. Not too sure about him but he's better than all the girly things. So at least when my sister wants me to play barbies with her I can be this guy. I think his name is Ken?

Snow Day: Part II

This is crazy! About 8 inches on the ground, won't stop snowing and my daddy has been home to play for the 2nd day now. He might even have another snow day tomorrow? That would be pretty cool because that is my mommy's birthday! What a fun day I'm having today. My grammi came over and my Grandpa came over to play in the snow with me.
Last night Daddy wanted to take me in the snow but we didn't have a sled. He made me one though. It was fast but for some reason I kept getting a lot of snow on me.
But today daddy and grandpa made me a sledding hill in the backyard with a launching ramp and everything! It took me a couple times to warm up to it but then I had a blast! I don't want to hurt my dad's feelings but the sled grandpa brought up was better than last nights.
Well, I had my first face plant in the snow. Didn't like it at all but rallied pretty quickly and took another run on the slope before heading in to warm up. I'm a trooper.
I even managed to muster up enough strength to pick up some wood from the garage for our fire. Gotta stay warm people!

Snow Day

It's January 14th and it's the first day it snowed at home this winter. Grandma came up to visit me so we all went out and walked and played in the snow.
Getting my snow suit on that Grandma and Grandpa got me!
I'm ready. Let's do this!
Another great thing to do on a snow day is build a fire! I help daddy build fires all the time.
And when you get too cold reading lots of books is fun to do also.

Xmas Time!

It's now after New Years but I wanted to share some pictures from Christmas. Look! Santa and his reindeer came and ate at our house while delivering presents.
It was a big morning so I had to fuel up myself with breakfast! Yum!
Stockings are fun! There are so many fun things in them. I got an orange and a gingerbread man! Did you notice my pajamas? Those were my Christmas Eve pajamas from mom and dad that I got to wear to bed Xmas eve. I love Elmo!
I got a lot of presents from my buddy Santa. I got mostly books for my enormous library! I love to read.
I think my all time favorite gift was my baby. Grandma gave it to me. I love my baby.
I also went over to my grandma and grandpas for another Christmas! Look at all those stockings! They weren't all for me but that's okay. I'm building a big fire here with grandpa.
Me digging in deep to my stocking. So many fun things!
A pencil! I can write my name now!
We also took a special trip to see my great grandma Brooking down at her house on the river. I loved her house and all the animals I got to see!
She had so many squirrels and birds to look at.
Look at this sunrise!
She also had a piano. I loved playing it. Maybe mom and dad will get me one some day?

Gotta get ready!

I got to get ready for this baby brother or sister. So I've been working out to get stronger and faster.
To work on my speed, I find that if I don't have a diaper to weigh me down I can go much faster. This hallway is a great way to work on my intervals.
I'm also learning to help out around the house. Once this baby comes mom will have less time to get things done like laundry and dishes so I'm stepping up and taking responsibility.
I do take short pauses at times when I unload the dish washer. When I find a rubber spoon I stop and chew on it for awhile. Hey, what do you expect? I'm teething....
My favorite thing to help out with....decorating the Christmas tree! I was a great ornament hanger. I have a good eye for strong branches.

It's the holiday season!

It's exactly a week from Christmas but first, let me tell you about Thanksgiving. It was a big day for me because I got to eat real, adult food, and I loved it! I ate Grandpa's smoked turkey, grandma's yams, mommy's mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, stuffing, the works. It was a great day!
Along with dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Brooking's, my favorite part of Thanksgiving was helping Grandpa build a fire in his fireplace. He said I was a real good helper. I practice though at home with daddy, so I'm an expert.
Another thing that makes their house so great is they have a nice long hallway for me to push things down!
The day after Thanksgiving we went and found our Christmas tree!
ummm.....not sure, it's okay, but not the "one"
Push me around in this some more daddy, let's keep looking!
You are kidding right Mom? I know it's cute and it's my size but that is NOT our Christmas tree!
We found it! It's perfect. Time to go home and decorate it!
