Gotta get ready!

I got to get ready for this baby brother or sister. So I've been working out to get stronger and faster.
To work on my speed, I find that if I don't have a diaper to weigh me down I can go much faster. This hallway is a great way to work on my intervals.
I'm also learning to help out around the house. Once this baby comes mom will have less time to get things done like laundry and dishes so I'm stepping up and taking responsibility.
I do take short pauses at times when I unload the dish washer. When I find a rubber spoon I stop and chew on it for awhile. Hey, what do you expect? I'm teething....
My favorite thing to help out with....decorating the Christmas tree! I was a great ornament hanger. I have a good eye for strong branches.

It's the holiday season!

It's exactly a week from Christmas but first, let me tell you about Thanksgiving. It was a big day for me because I got to eat real, adult food, and I loved it! I ate Grandpa's smoked turkey, grandma's yams, mommy's mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, stuffing, the works. It was a great day!
Along with dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Brooking's, my favorite part of Thanksgiving was helping Grandpa build a fire in his fireplace. He said I was a real good helper. I practice though at home with daddy, so I'm an expert.
Another thing that makes their house so great is they have a nice long hallway for me to push things down!
The day after Thanksgiving we went and found our Christmas tree!
ummm.....not sure, it's okay, but not the "one"
Push me around in this some more daddy, let's keep looking!
You are kidding right Mom? I know it's cute and it's my size but that is NOT our Christmas tree!
We found it! It's perfect. Time to go home and decorate it!

No more crawling for me!

Before I start I would like to say I'm sorry on behalf of my mom for taking so long to post pictures recently. She has not been feeling very well since becoming pregnant with my baby brother or sister. But now she is out of her first trimester and feeling a bit better so back to posting pictures and memories we go!
Today was a beautiful day so mom and dad took me to one of my favorite places: the park! But this time I didn't have to be pushed around in my stroller. I walked everywhere! I just started walking this month. I may almost be 15 months but I make sure I'm good at something before I let people know I can do it. Everyone was wondering when I was going to walk but now I'm so good, I don't fall down much or anything! Can you tell from my face the determination I have?
Woooowwww! We even saw a big, loud, choo choo train passing right by us!
But hands down, my favorite activity to do at the park is to go down to the water and throw rocks in it! I like the splash. I can't make as big of a splash yet as daddy but I'm trying.
The beach is so much fun! Especially when there are logs all around to sit down and take a break on.
I'm not really sure about these dark crazy things that keep following me when I walk. I just tried to ignore them the best I could.
Whoops! I fell down.
There's a playground too with super fun toys. I like to spin this thing around in a circle.
We sure live in a pretty area. I love it here!

I'm going to be a big BROTHER!

Mommy's going to have a baby! All she had to do is pee on this stick and if 2 lines showed up, that means she has a baby in her tummy.
I'm so excited!!! I'll have a friend to play with all the time!
What do you mean this thing doesn't say whether I'll have a brother or sister? I have to wait until June? Stupid stick!

Trick or Treat

Monday night was Halloween night. I usually am getting ready for bed when it gets dark out but tonight was a special night. I got dressed up, daddy got dressed up, 2 of my Grandmas came over and we walked around the neighborhood. We walked up to everyone's front door, rang their doorbell, dad or mom said "trick or treat" since I can't talk yet, and our neighbors put goodies in my pumpkin! Sometimes I got 1 piece of candy, sometimes I got more! Everyone was so nice and said how cute I looked. I want every day to be Halloween!
This was our first stop, our next door neighbor. She is so nice. She gave me candy AND kissed my cheeks!
Another neighbor had this crazy blow up bat, very cool!

I'm a DUCK at the zoo!

I love the zoo! I went once before when I was about 6 months old and I really loved watching all the animals. But this time I got to be one! I dressed up like a duck for halloween. This picture is of me getting out of the car with daddy. I'm ready to go! Mommy and daddy said if I carry around this pumpkin I might get some treats!
I don't even know what this stuff is but boy I was sure excited! Thanks candy givers!
As far as the animals go, Elephants are probably one of my favorites. Do Elephants eat Ducks? This one was coming right for us!
Grandma got to go with us too! We loved the giraffes. They were sure tall!
I was looking at the swimming otters here. I really wanted to get into the water with them. I am a duck you know, I can swim!
And you know what the best part is? Mommy and daddy got me a year pass to the zoo for my birthday so now we can come back every day!

Pumpkining with my Daddy and Mumpkin

Today we went to the Fairbank animal farm and pumpkin patch! It was awesome. There were so many types of animals. We even got to feed the ones that had feathers. There were also horses, pigs, baby chicks and a baby cow.
I'm trying to figure out how to get the feed from the cup to the ducks mouths. Mom helped me.
Taking it all in, there sure was a lot!
The pumpkins were my all time favorite. If mom and dad let me I could have stayed there all day and touched them all.
I tried to pick it up but it was just a little too heavy
I found this cute little green one that I put on top of the big ones. I'm pretty funny.
We found these cut out circles that I could play peek a boo with. So much fun!
What a fun day! Did I mention that I'm now 13 months old? That is 1 year and 1 month.
