11 months!

Mom's a little late on this one. She took the picture on time but didn't post my 11 month picture until today. Oh well, I guess she's been pretty busy. So look at me! I'm just 1 month away from my 1st birthday! Can't believe I'm almost 1! Before I know it, I'll be able to talk and have people understand what I'm saying, eat pizza, ride a bike, go poo on the potty, brush my teeth, go to school and drive! I'm most excited about driving!
For now though I'm still pretty much interested in my feet and toes. Anyone's feet and toes really....hey mom?! When can I wear shoes?
But I tell you what...I'm over this wearing a number on my shirt and sitting in this chair while you take pictures of me. Not happy about it...
That's it! I'm out of here, see ya!

Searching for Crab part II

Have I already said how much I love the beach? We drove out to Camano again to Grant's beach house to search for crab along the beach. This time it wasn't pouring down rain, it was sunny and warm! But this time we didn't find any, but still it was fun. I love riding on daddy's back. We chase mommy around trying to scare her!
It was so hot that I decided to strip down and play in the water and sand. It was so much fun. I just couldn't eat it though. Guess you can't eat sand...
Here is Grant and my Grammi searching for crab. Good effort, maybe next time.
I did score a sea shell though from Grammi.
Fun day. I want to live on the beach!

Going Fishing!

Today was my first morning of fishing. My uncle Howie came up for a week and we all wanted to go fishing for some salmon, I guess these type of salmon are called Humpies? My daddy and Uncle Howie went yesterday morning without mommy and me and got 3 fish! Take a look!
That is my boat in the background. Daddy's truck too
Here I am with my new lifejacket daddy got for me. I actually liked it. It made me feel like a true fisherman.
Waiting...But we did catch 1 fish today.
Mommy tried to catch a fish but lost it. Wish I could help her, she could have used it.
It was THIS big!
I couldn't hold a fishing pole but I DID get to drive the boat. I might have been the youngest captain out on the water today?
All this work really tired me out. The waves just put me right to sleep.

Jam Packed

With summer, and my daddy all day daycare, coming to a close soon, mom and dad are jamming fun activities into my day. They have picked up on the fact that I love animals so we took a trip to the Forest Park petting zoo where I saw ducks, chickens, goats, bunnies, and horses.
Some of these animals were up for adoption but mom and dad said no for now. For now I have to stick with my two kitties.
We also went down to the Seattle Aquarium. That was crazy! Fish EVERYWHERE! Maybe we can get a fish soon for a pet?
One thing I know my mom was looking forward to doing was going to the Chateau Ste. Michelle winery in Woodinville for a lunch picnic. We packed up some food, mom and dad got a bottle of wine and I got to hang out with the ducks for the afternoon, not bad...
Daddy and I playing catch. I'm getting pretty good!
My momma, always trying to snuggle with me
Walking with dad. I'm getting to be a big boy! I can't really walk by myself yet but I'm close.
Still crawling strong though!

Note from Mom-quite the character

I remember moms telling me early on, when Price was still an infant, just wait until they get about 10-11 months. That's when their personality really shines through. With Price just about at the 11 month mark, he sure is his own little person, our little bugga boo, and it's so fun to watch his unique personality develop. Above anything, it's very apparent that Price is a studier and a deep thinker. Any situation, he checks out the scene and observes EVERYTHING. Best example-being in the shopping cart at the grocery store and staring, I mean staring, looking up and down the checker, but mainly the bagger. The poor high school boy or girl starts sweating bagging our groceries because Price is watching him or her so closely. As my friend Sarah and I would say, he is "all frowns, no smiles" when it comes to taking care of business. And taking care of business is what he spends a lot of his day doing when we are out and about. Kadin and I found ourselves trying to explain his studious behavior to strangers, it's quite funny. "he really does smile and laugh, he's just checking you out first." (as he's scoping the person, starting at their feet and looking at every body part, every piece of clothing up to their head)
He's also very serious about his reading time. He LOVES books and now is even picking his own books out, he's very selective in his choices. Penelope on the Farm-IN-the Farmer in the Dell-OUT. This picture says a lot about his seriousness over books and reading time with daddy. :)
However, after about 5 minutes of making sure the scene is safe, Price opens up and shows his true colors. He can be a crazy man. He's crawling all over the place now. Loves playing chase with daddy and dances mostly to the workout music I'd play all the time for my classes when Price was in my belly.
This is him dancing with a prune. Naked of course, no diaper to constrict his moves.
Drumming is also a new passion for Price. He definitely gets after it.
One thing is definitely for sure-he loves to eat. I'm still breast feeding but whenever possible he is interested in trying new flavors and textures out. It's pretty fun for both of us. I love making his food and trying out different combinations. Some might think the combos are a bit out there but he likes them....for the most part. Some new favs are Carrot, Beat, Apple, ginger combo-it's actually pretty awesome. Apples, parsnips and carrots together-weird, but good. Blueberries in ANYTHING. Morning favorite is oatmeal with blueberries mixed in. Peas, squash, sweet potato, plums, watermelon, avocado, banana-you name it, he eats it.
However, on a rare occasion things take a turn, as it did last night. I steamed some broccoli and thought I'd cut some up for him to try on his own. Didn't go very well initially. In fact, it didn't go well at all.
Sweet potato came to the rescue, thank goodness-just took these pieces, mixed them with the potato and we were all smiles, no more gagging.
We just love our little fire cracker so much. Every day is a new adventure and it's just too much fun!

PLUMS

Plums galore! I have a plum tree in my backyard and I was getting after them! Yum! Do we get to eat these all year?

I'm stuffed!

Summer Days

Like I've said before, I am loving summer for so many reasons. Mainly, the bright thing is up in the sky, it's warm, my daddy is home and I get to watch a lot of birds and airplanes. We are so lucky to have a beach just down the street practically. These pics are from the Mukilteo park. We had lunch there the other day, it was really fun.
Watching a boat go by...
Back home now but still enjoying the sun. I love holding onto this umbrella.
Now we are in a pool! I got to go to one of my mom's favorite places ever-the Marsten Resort. We drove over to Wenatchee for the weekend to spend time with Mary, Sara and Kris. Mary got me this baby taxi and I drove it around the pool a lot. This picture is of me making my motor noises...Thanks Mary!
Hanging in their yard, naked of course, with Hutch, their cat Mr. Mr. and my treasures I found
Mommy showing off my cute bum again
Yeah swimming!!! Weeeeee....

Lake day!

Camping, Boating in the Sound, hanging at the Lake...I think I like this Summer thing! Check out these pics my Aunt Nancy took of me when Daddy, Mommy and I went out to Nancys family's lake house. We sure had a lot of fun!
My daddy is the strongest daddy I know
Always kissing me!
Hey, don't make fun of my legs! They are going to get me walking really soon, you'll see!
