Daddy's birthday!

This is my daddy. He turned 33 on the 26th of April. He is 32 & 1/2 years older than me, that's old! This picture is from his birthday dinner with mommy. I couldn't go because I was asleep. But I had a fun night with Grandma.
Wow, that was a lot of smoke and a lot of candles. Grammi got this cake for daddy and we were all waiting for him to come home from track practice to blow out the candles on his cake. I couldn't probably even blow out 1 candle, let alone 23 (we were 10 short but it's the effort that counts)
I surprised daddy at school during his class too with mommy. Mommy pushed me through the doorway of his classroom when I was in my stroller that had a ballon attached to it and I was holding a card. We also got him a cupcake. I think he was really surprised and excited to see me in the middle of his work day. I liked it too.
This was when we saw each other for the first time when he finally got home. I was so excited!
This picture is not from his birthday but it's one of my favorites of us both. I love my daddy so much and I hope he realizes it. I get to wake up with him every morning. He showers me with kisses and hugs and calls me his buddy. He sometimes comes to see me during his lunch hour and he comes home every night after work to play with me before I have to go to bed. He plays in the bath with me, he reads books to me and rocks me to sleep every night. Above all else we have so much fun together. He flies me around the house like superman and holds my fingers so I can stand on my feet like a big boy. He tells me how strong I am and makes me laugh every day. I love my daddy so much and am so lucky to have him as my very own daddy.

Pears

Another sweet fruit and oh how I love it! I do however think my mom ate more than I did. She gave me a spoon full, she'd take 2, I'd get one...you get the idea. But it's pretty yummy, I was pleased.

Feet in the sand

This stuff felt awesome! It was soft, warm and fun to have between my toes. I tried to pick it up and eat it too but mom and dad said that wasn't a good idea. It was a beautiful, warm spring day so we went to the beach! It was a real fun day.
Here's mom and I hanging at the beach
Dad is always making me laugh

Carrots!

I'm moving right along the food pyramid by trying these long orange things called carrots. At first, I gagged.
But then mom had a good idea and mixed applesauce with the carrot and I liked that better. Even better is banana, carrot and apple sauce!! My favorite...
And excuse me?? Has anyone noticed my big boy high chair? Aunt Nancy gave it to me to use, I like it!

Our little Easter Bunny

I guess I'm not quite old enough for an Easter egg hunt but I am old enough for mom to put bunny ears on my head. At least I look cute!
Here's me with another pair. These lit up and everything! Grandma got me my first Easter basket full of goodies. My favorite is the bunny ball.
Mommy giving me kisses...AGAIN. Can you tell daddy is thinking the same thing? He's thinking, "here she goes again!"

Full of expressions

My Aunt Nancy took these pictures of me when I went to play with her and Kira. I'm happy 99% of the time. 1% of the time I'm mad because my mom and dad try to put me to sleep before I want to. Other than that I'm a happy camper.

6 month shoot-from mom

I just love my little, wonderful family. The biggest treat of having little Price is that we found a new friend and wonderful photographer, Jocelyn, who herself will be a mom any day now. She did our maternity shoot when I didn't even know there was a little boy named Price growing inside me. She took his newborn shots at 10 days old, but looked 3 months. Then the real 3 month shoot, and now the 6th month shoot. We even get to see Jocelyn again at 9 months and a year. We feel so lucky we get to have her document his first year. She does such an amazing job. We love her. Here are some of our favs. I think Pricey poo should be a baby model....
His little half, "I'm cool" smile melts my heart
My two favorite boys in the world!
LOVE!
Love even more...
Here are some pics of our little man in our backyard
And my favorite. Love you Price!

Lemons

Mom was squeezing fresh lemons for a recipe and I was interested. She played a trick on me and gave me the lemon to try. After tasting it I didn't want to hurt her feelings but I was really hoping she wasn't going to puree this too for me to eat. Thankfully, she never was going to, she just thought she was pretty funny. I wasn't laughing....here, have your lemon back.

Note from Mom-Just another reason

Just one more reason that reminds me why I run and why it's so important to exercise. Since Price was born almost 7 months ago it's been tough finding my groove with exercise but I feel like I'm now getting the swing of things again. Price enjoys hanging out, chewing on Sophie the Giraffe, while I'm slaving away, pushing him along my running route.
Today's run brought something up that I forgot about: Emotions. Exercise has a funny way of sparking emotions out of no where. Endorphins are always released but today the form of emotion was sadness and grief.
The last few weeks have been hard as I've had to witness my dad slipping into the last stages of his disease. Alzheimers has taken over my dad's body and mind these past 8 years but just lately we have seen him slipping closer to the end of his life. Yesterday Price and I went over to see Grandpa with my mom, his best friend and his brother. He recognizes us and at times seems to be very interested in the baby but he drifts in a out of sleep. It appears very hard for him to stay awake and alert these days.
Even though I know the end is near and we've all had time to prepare for the end, it doesn't make it any easier. I have comfort knowing my dad knew Kadin and I had a beautiful, healthy baby boy and that he had many good visits with him during the first few months of his life.

So on completion of today's run I found myself sobbing walking around the park, letting myself cry and allowing myself to feel the emotion that was brought on, what seemed like out of no where.
I feel better now and am reminded of just one more reason why I get up every morning to do what I do. Whether it's teaching others the benefits of health and fitness or working on it myself. I feel so lucky to have the life I do. And more importantly, I'm so happy that Price will be able to know his grandpa through stories and memories that we will all share. He is such a special man and Price is lucky to be named after such a special Grandpa.

My personal hot tub

This is fantastic. I have my own personal hot tub. The streaming water amazes me and I could splash around in this all night long. What a great way to start off bedtime!
"See, what we have here is a water catcher. You just put your hands together like this and you catch it!"
I'm wiped out. I'm ready for books and bed....

Vegas Baby

I went on my first vacation for Spring Break! Mom and Dad and I went down to see Grandma Mason and my Auntie Karis in Vegas. I had to go on an airplane to see them but I was a trooper, it didn't bother me at all, in fact I had so much fun! The best part was being in grandma's pool. The sun was out, the pool was warm and I felt like a fish! Loved every minute of it! Thanks Grandma!
Here I am at the airport with daddy walking to our plane
Sitting and waiting was hard. I just wanted to get on that plane!!
How much longer till we board?
We made it! Grandma was waiting for me at the airport in Vegas. She even had a sign that said "Price" just in case I didn't know where to go.

First thing on the agenda: to put my swimmer diapers on and get in the pool. You too can get in beach bod shape, it's easy-just a daily dose of exercise with a sensible diet.
Swimming with Grandma, simply the best!
I just love my Auntie so much. She danced with me all week! I hope I didn't give her the wrong idea...I really don't like James Blunt, I just so happened to be exhausted from swimming all day that I fell asleep to him. I'd much rather prefer P!nk. Thanks....
Guess who else I got to see? My Auntie Sarah! She lives in Vegas too and she came over to see me. I haven't seen her since I was just a couple weeks old.
Just call me Michael Phelps
This little floaty was pretty awesome too!
I mean really? How nice is this? Back home I can never just wear a diaper and call it good. The nice warm temp and sun was amazing. I was either in my diaper or naked the whole time, awesome....
Well with the exception of a couple key pool side outfits
Look what ELSE grandma got for me! My first bicycle!
Grandma took us out to eat at a very cool breakfast place.
My parentals.....
I couldn't decide...bloody mary or a strawberry margarita? So I had both....
What? Everyone has to have just at least one rough night in Vegas. Don't hold it against me...FYI, they did take my keys, I had to call a cab
I fell asleep in the cab ride home. Boy, this Vegas thing really tires me out
After I recovered we loaded the plane to go back home. Here is the pilot and myself in the cockpit. Yeah, I'm badass...
BONUS! When we returned home we found a new kitchen sink! Grandpa and Grandma Brooking got us a new kitchen sink for my new bathtub! Awesome! Only problem...it's hard to catch water.
