Note from Mom-quite the character

I remember moms telling me early on, when Price was still an infant, just wait until they get about 10-11 months. That's when their personality really shines through. With Price just about at the 11 month mark, he sure is his own little person, our little bugga boo, and it's so fun to watch his unique personality develop. Above anything, it's very apparent that Price is a studier and a deep thinker. Any situation, he checks out the scene and observes EVERYTHING. Best example-being in the shopping cart at the grocery store and staring, I mean staring, looking up and down the checker, but mainly the bagger. The poor high school boy or girl starts sweating bagging our groceries because Price is watching him or her so closely. As my friend Sarah and I would say, he is "all frowns, no smiles" when it comes to taking care of business. And taking care of business is what he spends a lot of his day doing when we are out and about. Kadin and I found ourselves trying to explain his studious behavior to strangers, it's quite funny. "he really does smile and laugh, he's just checking you out first." (as he's scoping the person, starting at their feet and looking at every body part, every piece of clothing up to their head)
He's also very serious about his reading time. He LOVES books and now is even picking his own books out, he's very selective in his choices. Penelope on the Farm-IN-the Farmer in the Dell-OUT. This picture says a lot about his seriousness over books and reading time with daddy. :)
However, after about 5 minutes of making sure the scene is safe, Price opens up and shows his true colors. He can be a crazy man. He's crawling all over the place now. Loves playing chase with daddy and dances mostly to the workout music I'd play all the time for my classes when Price was in my belly.
This is him dancing with a prune. Naked of course, no diaper to constrict his moves.
Drumming is also a new passion for Price. He definitely gets after it.
One thing is definitely for sure-he loves to eat. I'm still breast feeding but whenever possible he is interested in trying new flavors and textures out. It's pretty fun for both of us. I love making his food and trying out different combinations. Some might think the combos are a bit out there but he likes them....for the most part. Some new favs are Carrot, Beat, Apple, ginger combo-it's actually pretty awesome. Apples, parsnips and carrots together-weird, but good. Blueberries in ANYTHING. Morning favorite is oatmeal with blueberries mixed in. Peas, squash, sweet potato, plums, watermelon, avocado, banana-you name it, he eats it.
However, on a rare occasion things take a turn, as it did last night. I steamed some broccoli and thought I'd cut some up for him to try on his own. Didn't go very well initially. In fact, it didn't go well at all.
Sweet potato came to the rescue, thank goodness-just took these pieces, mixed them with the potato and we were all smiles, no more gagging.
We just love our little fire cracker so much. Every day is a new adventure and it's just too much fun!
